A reply within 21 days from any central ministry or body.

Deadline: 21 days

  1. File at pgportal.gov.in and note the registration number.
  2. No reply by day 21? An interim reply must give a reason and date.
  3. Rate the resolution; a poor rating opens an appeal.

Use for NHAI, CPCB, CAQM, banks, telecom, railways, EPFO and central schemes. A grievance cannot be closed as not our department; it must be transferred.

CM Window and the MCG ladder

A tracked escalation when a civic ticket is closed without a fix.

Deadline: 3 levels, then CM Window

  1. Keep the ticket number; only you can close a GMDA ticket.
  2. Escalate to the department head, then Commissioner and Mayor.
  3. Still pending? CM Window, with every ticket number attached.

CM Window sends the case to the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies with a registration number you can track by SMS.

Right to Information

Any record a public authority holds, within 30 days, for 10 rupees.

Deadline: 30 days

  1. Ask for specific documents: work order, measurement book, inspection report.
  2. No reply, or a poor one? First appeal in the same office.
  3. Second appeal to the State Information Commission.
